Description of the project

The aim of this project is to explore the morphological and syntactic properties of non-finite verbal forms in certain ancient Indo-European languages and to show how current research on (non)finiteness may help to analyse data that were previously overlooked.

Researched topics

The project will focus on two specific categories that can be labelled as non-finite verbal forms, i.e., participles and infinitives. In our hypothesis, they may provide a specific – and in some way privileged – access to the analysis of non-finite verbal forms.
